Located near Central train station and a short walk from the city, the boutique Ovolo brand has made its lively mark on the Art Deco hotel rooms and restaurant. A highlight for history lovers sits in the centre of the 1930s-built former private residence and medical practice. The original lift was shipped here from New York State in 1928 by the Otis Elevator Company and has been restored with a new motor.

Queen's Wharf Brisbane  

Brisbane’s transformation is going to go to another level in 2024. The Queens Wharf development is bringing not one, but three, new premium hotel brands to Brisbane. Expect to see new hotels from the likes of the Rosewood hotel, Dorsett hotel and The Star Entertainment Group signature offering, The Star Grand, part of the development. Encompassing 12 football fields’ worth of public space, the project will provide the city with 1,000 new hotel rooms, 50 new restaurants, cafes and bars, a 1,000-seat ballroom and a landmark 100m-high sky deck.
