Howard Smith Wharves

A foodie haven, a hotbed of creativity, a playground for nature lovers—all with the iconic Brisbane River acting as the thread that winds through it. By taking the artefacts of Brisbane’s wharfage history, Howard Smith Wharves have tied together Brisbane’s working heritage to the thriving modern city it has become today. Located beneath the Story Bridge, the waterfront home boasts 13 restaurants, cafes, bars, event spaces and a hotel, with the multiple award-winning Felons Brewing Co at its heart. Queens Wharf

Set to open in stages from August 2024, Queen's Wharf Brisbane will transform The City and river's edge with an iconic design that celebrates Brisbane’s inviting subtropical, open-air lifestyle. From grand event spaces inclusive of a ballroom, sky deck bar and various outdoor activation spaces to 50 new dining and beverage experiences; world-class entertainment venues to 6,000m2 of luxury shopping curated by DFS. The $3.6 billion precinct covers more than 12 hectares of river frontage in the heart of the city and is a mixture of repurposed heritage-listed buildings and integrated resort facilities. 

Queen’s Wharf will boast four premium hotels with stunning amenities, including The Star’s 5-star hotel and a 4.5-star Dorsett hotel. The Star, alone, is set to include three expansive pools, recreation areas, 24-hour reception and a full-size gym.  

As part of the precinct, a new pedestrian bridge is also underway and will seamlessly connect Queen’s Wharf to South Bank so visitors can more easily explore farther and wider.
